THE HIGH RELIZATIONS |
Aim:
Make the hp48 spell letters from a text by the use of a vocal
synthetizer.
Schematic:
 |
The vocal sunthetizer ISD1020 is a chipwher 20
seconds of voice,sounds can be stored. (ID2590 = 90 seconds)through an electret a
microphone (M). It costs about 100F for the ISD1020 et 150F for the 'ISD2590. The choice between recording cycle (I opened) eand playing (I
closed) is made by the switch I. I have recorded the alphabet letters in the 20 seconds
available. (this is stored inside flash memory banks)
The difficulty is to map correctly the memory to fit all the letters and to keep as
possible undertandable. I have linked this board to
hp48 as I need to set the starting adress of recording for each letter. If I change the
adress on the digital 8 bit bus, the play is automatically triggered tanks to the
monostable flip flop made by IC4.
The mapping of letters inside the isd1020 should hereby match with the adress given by the
hp48 to spell letters. I get the sound of each letter of the text one after the other, on
a 8 ohm speaker.
It requires a V=+5V power supply.
