THE HIGH RELIZATIONS |
The PP2 JDM programmer
This is an easy to build programmer. I recommend
you to make yours as:
- -it is exceptionnal that:
- it does not need an external power
supply.(like picblast).
- il uses a serial port of the PC (I
have seen a lots of one on the parallel port)
- it works either on Linux (PICPROG)
or Windows in the DOS (PP2.EXE) or in graphic mode(ICPROG),
- -it is universal as it allows programming:
- the microchip middle range microcontrolers
such as PIC12CXXX andPIC16FXX
- serial EEPROM 24Cxx too!
As I don't want this page to substitute the
JDM's website, I will not give here:
-neither the schematics,
-neither the tools to program the chips
-neither where put the chip to program on the DIL18 support tulip
type.
-neither his test board for those who don't have stuff for IC
boards nor the mapping on it..
Just get these directly from his website:

3) Copper side
 |
For those who got Layo1e, I give
the board file: pp2.lmc
Advice for realization: Start with
straps in particular those under the DIL 18 socket! Take
care of the diode implantation before welding.
I have made two additionnal holes
( not shown here) to fix a platic protection on the copper
side. This avoids future troubles..we never know.. .
