THE SIMPLIFIED THEORY |
-The Hp48 is more than a
pocket calculate as it is considered to be a scientific calculator. The processor
inside is a saturn (running from 1 to 4 Mhz) powered with 3 AAA batteries type each
1.5 volts. (below 3 volts, an power indicator is triggered). -With the two family models S or G , 32ko of Memory, the SX et GX releases called as Scientific Expandable, these models can add 2 of 32ko,128k,256k et 512k memory card. -The beginners who are used to make classical algebra calculations are often lost with the Reverse Polonish Language where values has to be typed before operators. (for example , they should not do 2 * 2 but 2 [enter] 2 * to get 4. -Moreover, calculations are made on a stack allowing to see
the decomposition of the calculs and to expand this way of thinking to any object such as
graphic, text, program, library... -What has made the hp48 popularity is the cheat at schools before exams or tests and the unlistable games (Yes, I got no shame to say it , who has never play tetris, pacman, boulderdash, ...on hp?) but also the fact that it is possible to exchange datas by infrarouge (transforming his HP in an universal remote its easy , just use the prog telec.lib) or to back up data on PC with a serial wire and we got time, date, calendars and alarms. (why not programming the tv reccorder with the hp then?). -For those who do no got the luck to have make the big jump and
do not know this world, here is the ultimate emulator 48G for
PC (right button of the mouse and save as to download it) .
